From The President - By Mike Piccirilli Dear Members, Happy Father's Day! I was pleased to see most everyone had a chance to fly the 172 this past month. That's great! Charlie's ad to sell his share for $5,000 had about a half dozen phone calls. I sent info out to a couple people but no one showed enough interest to return the application form. I believe the $4,000/share price is a more valid price. Price and concerns over poor cosmetics seemed to be the major objections. Charlie has no idea when the appeal will be heard. Even though I keep fIyers posted, both on the airplane and in the terminal building, I have gotten no response to the add for an eigth member. I feel it is probably best to wait out the appeal process, find out if and how much compensation we get, then enhance the plane (via lawsuit compensation, additional member revenue or special assessment). I would like to have a meeting of the members, at the airplane, in August or September. With the treasury close to $1,000, I'd like to discuss the ways to cosmetically repair the plane with some limited funds (new windshield, fairings, stainless steel screws, etc.). I'd like to do any of this cosmetic repair prior to or in conjunction with the annual. Happy Landings, Mike Piccirilli
