From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

Sorry for the letter coming out so late this month but I took the family to Disney World for a week and it put me behind.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery to Leonard. He had to undergo some follow-up surgery for a stomach problem. Hope you are able to be flying soon!

Thanks to Chuck for performing the oil change. The oil sample results, enclosed, indicate that aluminum still seems high. We will change the oil in another 25 hours and keep an eye on the trend. I will also send a copy to T.W. Smith, the overhaul shop. They may have some opinion on the values shown and if it indicates a problem, perhaps they could indicate the appropciate course of action.

The engine warranty was 6 months or 240 hours. There was also a prorated warranty that is based on 40 hours a month, but it expired after 4 years.

Welss Aviation ls having a grand opening on July 9th and sent us an invitation to come out, eat some food, have some drinks, and view their maintenance facility.

Happy Landings,

Mike Piccirilli
