From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

I changed our home phone number this past month. It ls 530-1748. I have included a new roster with the change.

Leonard Newmark has asked me to help him sell his share in the club. I have sent letters to 8 people who have shown an interest in joining the club previously. I will also be putting an ad in this Sunday's paper. Leonard is selling his share for the current share prlce of $4,500.

Mike Russell had quite an eventful trlp to Springfield, MO. this past month. He had a mag go bad on him and couldn't find an FBO to repair it. He finally came upon a mechanic whose boss agreed to lend him a mag from a C-172 undergoing an annual. There are still some trustworthy people out there! We had Executive Beechcraft repair the mag, $385, and Mike shipped the mag back.

I'm happy to see the plane flying more. Chuck flew it down to Lake of the Ozarks and this past weekend, I flew it to a Pancake Breakfast at Taylor, MO. (just west of Qulncy IL>. This was my first fly-in breakfast. It was pretty neat; about 30 airplanes, plenty of spectators, and the pilots that flew ln got FREE breakfasts!

The only problem I know of is the left hand (red) navigation light isn't working. I'm not sure if there is a bad contact or if the bulb just burned out. If anyone is planning to night fly this summer let me know. Otherwise, I will check the bulb out before I order one.

Happy Landings,

Mike Piccirilli
