From The President - By Mike Piccirilli Dear Members, It's annual time! Randy is coordinating with CD for the weekend of April 23-25. John is trying to get the painters to come out and give us the painting estimate. Once we have that, we can figure out how to mesh that in with the annual if that works out. It's good to see Mike Warakomski got some time in last month. John told me he ordered a Garmin GPS 296 with terrain mapping. What a hoot, it takes all the excitement out of scud-running (just a joke guys)! Happy Landings! Treasurer's Report - by Marlin Sipe With the payments from all the the flying last month, the Adjusted Treasury recovered quite a bit. We now have $1119 for the Annual. If there are no surprises, we should be fine there. Here are the rusults for total individual flying times for the year (May-Apr).
Maintenance - by John Heilmann & Randy Skyles Annual Inspection - The annual inspection is scheduled to start on Friday morning, April 23rd and will hopefully be finished by Saturday evening. Randy washed down the airplane on Saturday to get it ready for the annual inspection. There were no maintenance problems again this month and we should be in good shape for the annual. If you can make it out to C&D on Friday and Saturday to help out, that would be great. Birds Nest - Randy reported that a bird is trying to make a nest inside the cowl of the airplane. The bird is getting in through the nose gear openning. Randy found the nest when he went to go flying on Friday. He removed the cowl and cleaned out the nest but when he went back to clean the airplane on Saturday, the bird was back making a new nest. When you do your preflight, take a good look inside the cowl through the oil access door to see if there are any signs of the nest (or the bird). BFR/Medicals Due - by Todd Michal According to the club records, all the Medical and BFR's are current. Please provide me with any updates on your medical or BFR status.
