St. Louis Flying Club Newsletter - 20 April 2013

From The President - By Pic

Dear Members,

I wanted to thank you for your quick response to my request to read John Waddell's application and respond if you'd accept him into the club. Some requested that we find out the insurance implications of adding him to our policy, which Chris did. The Insurance provider did not have any concerns with adding John Waddell for the current premium. I understand that he wants to get his medical renewed before he buys Mike share and, as of the newsletter publication date, he hasn't done that yet.

Thanks to Steve for getting us the 2 beautiful executive desk chairs for the office (they even match)! I also want to thank Dom for working on updating the Club Operating Handbook. I hope to review his edits and finalize it by next the next newsletter. Last, but not at all least, thanks to John for installing the air conditioner and cleaning up the T-hangars. It won't be long before that cool air will be a welcome relief!

John plans on starting the Arrow annual on the 26th and has it blocked off thru May 5th. Please contact John if you're able to help so he can organize the help to his schedule or just stop by on the weekend if you want to be able to poke you nose inside the plane to see how it works!

Happy Landings,

Not much going on financially this month. Fuel stayed high @ $6.60/gallon, so no change in hourly rates. Make yourself a couple bucks by buying fuel where it's cheaper. No change in monthly dues. Share value increased slightly to $10,234.
