From The President - By Steve

Dear Members,

Damian has sent a reminder for our meeting on 5/29 and will have an agenda out the week before. As previously discussed let me know if there is something you would want on the agenda. It should be a good meeting with lots of information on airplane values, engine costs, and how we handle the dues and hourly rates. We will also draw for the 2022 Oshkosh scheduling so get your requests in. Hope to see you there.

This airshow at Spirit is scheduled for 6/11-6/12 and our hangar access allows for some great viewing on the show dates and also the practice sessions that usually take place Thursday and Friday. Make sure to display your Airport Tenant sticker to get into the hangar.

It has been a wet and windy couple of weeks that has kept some of us on the ground. I know the 30kt crosswinds caused me to cancel more than once. Here's hoping things calm down as John and Larry have all three planes in great shape and available to schedule.

Safe flying!

Steve

Treasurer's Report - by T.J

BILLING STATEMENT

General Comments:

  • Fuel prices continue to increase and are now at $7.71. With these increases, the maintenance contributions on a rate per hour basis are becoming low. As part of the May 15 financials, the officers will revalue the planes and engine replacements and in all likelihood will implement a rate increase as of May 16. These increases will be discussed in detail at the May 29 meeting.
  • The RV is through annual and ready to resume normal operating hours!! Thanks John and Larry.

BALANCE SHEET

Significant Discussions:

  • Maintenance Funds - All of the balances are adequate; note especially the RV that just finished annual condition inspection and still has a healthy balance.
  • Overall Cash - Cash is sufficient to operate into the foreseeable future.

DUES

We made a new estimate of insurance and dues in mid-2021 and the current billing is sufficient. Our current dues allocation is as follows:
