From The President - By Steve
Dear Members,
Please make sure you have our club meeting on your calendar. May 19th at 11:30 in the hangar.
Let Damian know if you can't make it so he has an accurate count for lunch. We should have an
agenda out next week. Also per Brian's email, the Oshkosh lottery will be drawn so let him know if you want to fly one of the club planes.
Thanks to Cory Bristow and Mike Piccirilli for their work on the RV interior. Pic has the pockets
for the side panels finished (See photos below) and Cory has someone working on the cushions so the cabin should
be a little more comfortable when we get it flying.
I hope to see you all at the meeting.

BILLING STATEMENT
Comments:
- Thank you everyone for submitting your receipts. Please ensure you review all your data thoroughly and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
- As a friendly reminder, the club has approved an assessment of up to $800 per member to cover costs related to the new RV engine. Currently, it seems that we have sufficient cash to meet all our needs, but we should remain vigilant. I will promptly inform everyone if this evaluation changes..
BALANCE SHEET
- As with the previous month, we allocated funds to the RV and Arrow, which are shown as cash expenditures and an increase in Work in Progress. This accounting method will persist until the planes return to service, at which point the improvement account will be cleared, and the planes will be recorded at their fair market value.

Maintenance - by John
N202CR RV-7A
- Annual Inspection/Engine Installation - Work continues on the RV in preparation for installing the engine. The brake disc's were at minimums and new discs were ordered and will be installed. Larry is working to fix the nose wheel pant (missing paint chips & cracks) and has it ready for final painting.
- Engine - I've sent a few emails to Signature last week to get an update on the engine status but no response yet. Will call next week to see if they received the case and crank from the repair shop and get their latest completion date.
N20843 Cessna 172M
- Oil Change - On May 1st, the oil and filter were changed. The Oil filter was clean with no metal found and the oil analysis results were good. We are using Phillips X/C for this oil change so use that oil if you have to add any.
N2242N Piper Arrow IV
- RH Wing - Work progresses on the wings. While waiting for the engine, we are doing some Piper Service Bulletin inspections.
- Piper SB-1161D - This SB was issued on Feb 19, 2024 to inspect for cracks in the forward and aft wing ribs at Wing stations 49.25. Unfortunately, cracks were found on the aft wing ribs on both the left and right wings. We received the RH repair kit and Larry has removed the rib flange that was cracked. He is ready to start installing the repair kit next week. The LH Wing repair kit was ordered and it should deliver towards the end of May.
