From The President - By Steve

Dear Members,

The officers will meet this month to set the agenda and date for our Fall meeting. This meeting will include elections for club officers. We will get the meeting date out as soon as possible.

The summer heat drags on in September but it can’t last much longer I hope. Lately my flying is early morning and late evening where I caught some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Looking forward to cooler weather and changing colors.

A friendly reminder on the use of cleaning supplies - use the microfiber towels only for the windscreen and white cotton for the rest of the airplane. If any of the towels are too dirty to use throw them in the dirty towel hamper and get a fresh one. No reason for 8 used towels in the cabinet.

BILLING STATEMENT

Comments:

  • Thanks for the receipts! Please keep it up.
  • Fuel has stabilized and stayed exactly where it was last month. The officers anticipate that there is plenty of cash and fund cushion to hold rates steady for the time being. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  • Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

BALANCE SHEET

  • The funds are tracking nicely. John sold the old ignition from the Arrow and it provided a very healthy boost to the Arrow maintenance fund.
  • Cash is sufficient for the foreseeable future.
  • Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

  • Carb Heat Door - On 12 August, the modification of the Carb Heat Door to prevent metal to metal wear was completed. We also installed a Nitrile rubbers spacer under the air filter to close a small gap that was letting unfiltered air into the carburetor.
