From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

I have had 3 people show alot of interest in Leonard's share but they all had reasons why they couldn't come up with $4,500 at this time. The ad was supposed to be in the August-September edition of the St. Louis Aviation Journal but they had mistakenly not printed ours. They apologized, after I pointed out their omission, and have agreed to prlnt it in the next issue, with a picture, for no additional charge. In the mean time I have had flyers printed, with a color picture, and am posting them around McDonnell Douglas.

I had the over voltage light come on, dimly, when the RPM exceeded 2100. I had called it in to Chuck Zimmerman who was going to take a look at it. Since it has flown since and no one has remarked on it, I assume Chuck "fixed" it or it was just a fluke.

I saw that someone wrote on the flight log that the tires needed air. If you see that the tires need some air, please call Million Air and have them bring the air bottle to fill them up. That service is part of the fuel charge. You will have to assist them by moving the plane back and forth slightly to position the air valve in the door of the wheel pants.

John Ganahl noted that the radio license has expired. They are good for 5 years and it expired in July. I am getting ahold of the FCC tomorrow to renew it. I would not worry about it being expired.

Enclosed you will find scoop on the Air Show coming up. At least they will not be using the ramps this year.

Happy Landings,

Mike Piccirilli
