From The President - By Todd Michal Dear Members, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! It was disappointing that our much anticipated Annual meeting had to be cancelled due to the ice storm that hit the St Louis area. Mike Warakomski will be trying to reschedule a new meeting date for some time in January or early February. Finding a date that works for everyone is probably the most difficult task we have in the club. I am looking forward to my trip to Texas tomorrow with my wife and two children. I am anxious to give the new avionics a good workout on the trip. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Todd Treasurer's Report - by Marlin Sipe The Personal Property Tax was paid. At $1022.33 it was slightly less than the $1092 I was guessing. The bill was actually lower this year than last year. One out of every few years it goes down before continuing back up. As voted a while back, we have been including a $10 per member per month extra to help fund improvements. This has been lumped in with the treasury instead of being tracked separately. We used this for some things, including $1000 or so for the avionics upgrade. I am now showing this extra separately as an Improvement Fund in the Escrow section, and included the money paid since we finished the upgrade. It will continue to accumulate the $80 per month there instead of in the Treasury. This will more clearly show what we're accumulating for maintenance (Adjusted Treasury), and for future improvements. This now shows that we have $560 for improvements, and $956 in the Adjusted Treasury for maintenance and Annual. Several years back I started totalling up the individual flight hours in the same month we did the Annual Inspection. I went back and am now showing the totals based on a calendar year (Jan-Dec). This goes back to 2000. I may go back farther later, but just didn't have the info with me when I was doing this.
