From The President - By Pic
Dear Members, Thanks to Charley and Andrea for hosting the Holiday party at their lovely home! It was great to see so many members and to get to meet your wives. The finishing touches are being made to the hangar office over the holidays (flooring and electrical). Thanks to all the members who have helped on the project; Paul, John, Mike, Steve, Phil, and Charley (sorry if I left anyone out). It's great that so many contributed their time and expertise. Per Mike and Kip's request, I have familiarized and approved another CFI to perform the initial member check-outs in the both the Arrow and C-172. His name is Dave Pogorzelski and he goes by Pogo. Pogo is an ATP and CFII with lots of time in Arrow IVs. He recently retired from Boeing and is actively applying for an airline job. John has already added him to the members page as a check-out pilot. Shiv had donated a pair of noise canceling headsets to the club a while back. They have been stored in the back seat of the Arrow and recently I became aware that they were damaged (mic plugs bent). Charley did the leg work to get estimates for repairing them. One (Lightspeed) offered to repair theirs for free while there will be a charge to repair the Bose, which I approved. When they come back from getting repaired, the officers agreed to the following process for their use:
I wish you and your families a Happy New Year! Happy Landings, Pic Treasurer's Report - by Mike McBride Fuel rates at TACAir declined by over $0.30 per gallon this month, resulting in reductions to our flight rates; the Arrow rate for the month is $104 per hour, and the Cessna rate is $79 per hour. Flight time was 12.5 hours for the Arrow, and 5.6 hours for the Cessna for the month. All expenses for the month were within expected levels. Treasury and Adjusted Treasury funds remain strong. This month's final financial position establishes the upgrade price for limited members. The delta between full and limited share values stands at $3,908.51 as of the closing balance on this statement; that is the upgrade cost for the remaining two limited members. Effective with the next monthly statement, all member dues will be at the "full" member rate (I expect those to be in the $120 to $125 range for all members); outstanding upgrade balances will be charged to upgrading members in 12 installments. Mike
