From The President - By Charley

Dear Members:

It was great to see everyone during our recent holiday get together. Thanks to Pic for offering his subdivision’s clubhouse as a meeting place, it was a great setting for the event and made it feasible for the group to get together. John Housley shared pictures and a video of his recent dive trip and plenty of good food was had by all!

Steve Heidenreich has collected all necessary member information and received a quote back from our insurance broker. Our rates have remained relatively unchanged even with a slight increase in hull values. We have two viable quotes that are relatively close in cost. After a bit more research we will pick the best option for the club and report back. Except for adjusted hull values, our coverage will remain unchanged.

You probably saw John’s note about the availability of the Garmin GFC-500 Autopilot for the Cessna and the Piper which is great news. While a slight wait for this development has delayed the upgrade, the enhancements to the aircraft should be well worth the wait.

Rocky Dollarhide has indicated that he will be leaving the club. I am currently contacting members on the waiting list to determine interest and the officers will be back with you soon for a vote of approval to proceed with a replacement.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year!

Safe skies,

Charley
