From The President - By Mike Piccirilli Dear Members, Thanks to Randy for putting on the winterization plate! I finally got clarification that our communication radios, Narco Com-llAs, are OK to use after Jan. 1. 1997. Even though they are only 360 channel radios, they have the required .003% frequency tolerance. There may be frequencies assigned in the future that would not be accessible on our radios however. A new radio (KY-97A) with 760 channels would cost about $1,500 installed. A GPS/communication radio combination (Garmin) would cost about $3,250 lnstalled. As we have no money In the treasury, a speclal assessment would have to be made to pay for either option. May each of you have a happy and prosperous New Year! Happy Landings, Mike Piccirilli
