From The President - By Mike Piccirilli Dear Members, I have so many things for you to read this month that it takes 8 pages, double-sided, to cover! Page 3 is the form I have filled out for this year's insurance quote. I upped everyone's time by what they flew last year and corrected the ages based on your birthdates. Let me know if any of the info is wrong including the statements on the bottom about violations, accidents and so forth. Page 4 has to do with the gate cards no longer being any good. They want the old ones back in order for us to get our deposit ($75.00) back. PLEASE SEND ME YOUR GATE CARDS WITH YOUR NEXT PAYMENT (I NEED THEM BY MARCH 31st)!!! THEY'RE WORTH $75.00!! The letter states they will only give one new card per aircraft. I'll inquire if we can have an exception. Pages 5 and 6 are the rules for use of the shade hangers. Please read and follow them! Ken Nebrig suggests using wheel chocks to restrict the planes movement under the hanger. Any volunteer who could make up a set? I'm envisioning a "U" shaped chock for each main wheel (A 2" by 4" in front and back nailed to a 2" by 4" that sits on top of them). They would also need to have N20843 marked on them. Pages 7 and 8 are a flier I received from the Vandalia, IL. airport. If you're looking for someplace to fly they sure have cheap gas (remember we have the auto fuel STC). Charlie has called to let me know the county has filed the Appeal. Charlie has sent it to Bill Wagner to examine the transcript and Bill is to forward to me, to do the same. Charlie ls hopeful, because of the amount, it may be heard within a year. Please let me know the dates of your medicals and Biennial Flight Reviews. I need to update my records. Spring is almost here! Happy Landings, Mike Piccirilli
