From The President - By Todd Michel

Dear Members,

Happy New Year!

It was great to see everyone at the club meeting on Sunday. I think we made a lot of progress in deciding the future direction of the club aircraft and upgrade plans. Mike is preparing the meeting minutes which will be included in the next newsletter.

Happy Landings!

Treasurer's Report - by Marlin Sipe

The fuel price went up a few cents, from $4.17 to $4.20, but no impact on the hourly rate from that.

It was a busy flying month (8.9 hours), considering it's winter. The fuel costs from that, along with the low flight hour payments from the previous month caused the Adjusted Treasury to drop $24 to $1358, which still isn't bad, considering the new battery and other items last month. Unless we have a really busy month this month (even higher fuel charges) or more maintenance items, we should see a fair increase next month when the 8.9 hours gets paid.

   Maintenance - by John Heilmann

Landing Light - Marlin reported that the landing light was inoperative. A check of the system indicated that one of the quick disconnects used when removing the cowling had vibrated loose. To prevent this from happening in the future, a quick disconnect connector with a locking tab was installed. When removing the cowl, remember to deflect the locking tab before trying to disconnect the plug. .
