From The President - By Charley
Dear Members: Please join me in welcoming our newest club member Tom Gittemeier! Tom met Steve and I at the hangar on Saturday to purchase his share from Rocky and receive a brief orientation regarding our setup, scheduling and as many other details as I could remember! Tom relocated to St. Louis from the Columbia, MO area in March of last year. He was previously a founding member of a flying club in Boonville, MO and is familiar with how a club operates. He is excited to get checked out in club aircraft and I know will be a great addition to our group. Rocky wishes all the best to everyone and looks forward to a time when he has more time to fly and may look to join us again. Dom has completed some significant updates to the member handbook to reflect updated procedures etc. This handbook is a great resource for new members like Tom and existing members alike. A huge thanks to Dom; we gave him over 20 suggested changes which he handled very quickly. You will see in the new version of the handbook that he has removed the member list and referenced the website to reduce the number of updates required. As a reminder, if your contact information or emergency contact changes, please drop John a note so he can update the website. A huge thanks to John, Larry, and Steve for troubleshooting a nose gear light and internal Hydraulic seal leak issue during a recent flight. They were to isolate the problem to a stuck nose gear down micro switch and the RH main gear actuator. While waiting for the new switch and actuator to arrive, we decided to go ahead and do the annual inspection which was due in Feb. Safe skies, Charley
Treasurer's Report - by T.J Fellow Members, Members, It has been a slow month with not much flying and little maintenance. We paid our annual personal property taxes to St. Louis county and spent a couple hundred dollars in preparation for the Cessna upgrade. We welcome Tom and are sorry to see Rocky go. Hope everyone had a nice holiday and please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have questions. Blue Skies TJ
