From The President - By Pic

Gidday Mates,

Yep, I'm just back from "down under" and picked up some of their twang.

Looking at the flight schedule over the last month, I saw more white space than usual. I guess the high temperatures have slowed the flying demand! I also see Mike Landgraf is taking the 172 to Oshkosh. Have fun Mike!

Looking into August, the 172 annual is coming due and John has squeezed the annual in between two of Paul's flights, Aug 21 - 30.

Stay cool.

Happy Landings!

Treasurer's Report - by Mike McBride

Fuel prices at TACAir rose slightly this month, but that change did not have much effect on the hourly rates. The Arrow rate rose $1 to $106 per hour, and the Cessna rate remained stable at $80 per hour. Expenses were low for the month, with the only major purchase being for a Jeppessen database renewal for the Cessna. Monthly fuel expenses, including member credits for off-field purchases, were just over $2,300. Flight hours were strong for both aircraft, with the Arrow logging over 23 hours and the Cessna logging almost 16 hours. The Treasury and Adjusted Treasury balances remain strong, with both being over $4,000.

Fly safely!

Mike

  • Upper Door Latch - We had a problem reported on the upper door latch not working properly. Jerry lubed and readjusted the door latch mechanism and it now works correctly.
