From The President - By Charley

Members:

A Collectively our planes flew over 40 hours in the past month! Reasonable weather and a very small list of maintenance items looks to have contributed to a great amount of usage for the month.

T.J. Smyka and Phil Self have graciously agreed to manage our cleaning supplies moving forward. They will likely have reminders out to the group soon about what to use on what. You all may recall that a couple of years ago we voted to streamline our cleaning supply usage to make the instructions and replenishment much more straightforward for our group, feel free to get any suggestions for improvements to T.J. and Phil and also let one of them know if we are in need of clean rags, additional cleaning supplies etc. Thanks guys for taking over this important function for our club!

You may remember that we recently took an email vote for the painting of hangar B1 as a “trial” to see how it works out, how we like it etc. We have enough votes for the measure to pass and Dom will be organizing a work party shortly. There will be opportunities to clean, paint, tidy up / move items in hangars etc. etc. so give some thought to how you would like to help out. The key to keeping the cost of this project low will be liberal use of elbow grease by club members! Our vote was to give Dom a “not to exceed” number of $650 to spend on paint / supplies to paint one hangar, thanks to Dom to offer organizing the effort!

Talk to you all soon!

Safe skies,

Charley

Treasurer's Report - by PIC

Members,

The C-172 continues to fly significantly more than the Arrow (almost triple)! Fuel has gone up 12 cents which raised the hourly rates to $79 and $104. Monthly dues are unchanged at $122 and the share value is $10,680. I have received multiple requests for fuel credit for flights after 7/15 from Kip, Todd and Mike. I will credit those next month.
