From The President - By Charley

Members:

A lot of what we voted on during our May meeting is already in progress. Please see John’s report below for the details of what has been accomplished to date.

There has also been a good deal of flying going on with a great Pirep from John and Pic regarding their experience with traffic on a recent flight to Indianapolis. Please be sure to read the information regarding ADS-B traffic using the GDL-39 as well as a plan to move the Aera to a more visible location in the Cessna. Thanks to John and Kip for the speedy completion of items we voted on in the May meeting such as the new air vents for the Cessna. They look great! Stay tuned for additional items to be implemented soon.

T.J. organized a “fly out” to Hannibal (HAE) and then over to Alton for Dinner with a handful of members participating in what looks like a great time! Pictures are posted below. T.J. also maintains the Club flying “League”, be sure to send him information about flights you have taken either solo or with another member so he can log the points and give you credit for your flight. Thanks T.J. for organizing events to encourage members to fly and fly together!

Another item in the works is the painting of our B1 hangar. I recently sent out an email requesting a vote from all members for approval to move forward with painting of the hangar. Dom Bausano has researched the options for us and offered to organize the effort. Please be sure to send me your vote for the $650 and your interest in helping with the work. A huge thanks to Dom for the research and offer to organize this work party!

Happy landings,

Charley

Treasurer's Report - by PIC

Members,

The good Spring weather really increased the flying this month. The C-172 flew more than twice as much as the Arrow! The Cessna's new fresh air vents were paid from the Improvement Fund. The fuel price went down a few cents with a slight reduction in hourly rate to $78 and $102. The monthly rate stayed the same at $122 and the share value decreased some to $10,666.

Fly Safely!

  • Precise Flow Air Vents - The Precise flow air vents were installed in the Cessna on June 7th. They look much better and work great as well as you can direct the flow and control the volume of air.

  • Fuel Injection Flow Divider - The fuel injector flow divider that sits on top of the engine was replaced with an overhauled unit on June 4th. It had small fuel leak and it needed to be replaced.
