From The President - By Charley
Dear Members: I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July! It's great to see aircraft usage up and people using the planes to take trips. The Arrow is running better than ever after the engine replacement and as John noted in an email this month, the break in period is complete and we are back to using Phillips X/C 20W50. Thanks again John and Larry for the huge amount of work you guys put into the Arrow engine replacement! Thanks to Kevin Gause and Mike Landgraf for taking the Cessna and the Arrow over to Wings of Hope for their fundraising plane wash on June 17th. It is nice to get them washed once in a while to reduce the elbow grease required to wipe all of the surfaces, the planes look great! Thanks for the photos Mike.
Spirit Airport repaired the Arrow hangar door lock this month and your existing hangar key should fit all three hangars. If your key does not work for some reason, let me know and we will get you a new one. As one more reminder, TacAir will now charge to push aircraft back into hangars after fueling. If you choose to leave the aircraft out and unattended for fueling you will be charged $30 to push it back. There is no charge for the line personnel to help you push the plane back. The ability to leave a plane out and unattended for fuel is a great service to have available but TacAir was no longer able to offer the service for free as it requires two people be present. No problem if you do choose to use the service, T.J. will add it to your account and monthly billing statement. It looks like both the Arrow and the Cessna are going to Oshkosh this year, can't wait to hear all about the event! Safe skies, Charley

Usually it is a clutch slipping issue but after initial troubleshooting yesterday, it looks like it is an electrical issue. Until the electric trim is fixed, I have pulled the pitch trim circuit breaker. Continue to use the manual trim wheel for trim adjustments. Oil Change - The oil and filter were changed on 6 June with 7 quarts Phillips X/C 20W50 and 11 oz of Camguard. Oil analysis shows normal results.
