From The President - By Charley

Dear Members:

Welcome to new member Damian Mahoney! Damian is already checked out in the 172 and has started on the Arrow. If you see him around the hangar please be sure to say hello and offer to show him any information you have found helpful when navigating club resources.

The aircraft selection committee is in full swing and very close to having a detailed recommendation. We are planning a club meeting next weekend to review the recommendation and vote on the general direction to let the Selection Committee negotiate a purchase on the clubs behalf. The Selection Committee will have details of their recommendation out to you all sometime in the next day or two. We have planed for a meeting date at 1:00 on Sunday, August 8th . Mike Landgraf has send out an invite along with an agenda.

As a reminder, Pic is leading the Selection Committee, assisted by Geoff Gallaway, Larry Wehrman, Steve Heidenreich and John Heilmann. Please be sure to drop them a note with any questions before our meeting next week. Also, if you are unable to attend the club meeting feel free to drop myself or any other club officer questions or suggestions you would like raised as well as a proxy for your vote.

Thanks to our Selection Committee for their work to date and we are looking forward to learning more about our next club aircraft!

Safe skies,

Charley

Treasurer's Report - by T.J

Fellow Members,

Members,

Attached are the June Financials. There are two items for highlighting this month:

  1. Sadly, N8746V is no longer an aircraft for the club. We have recorded the $50,000 of hull value into cash and removed the airplane. The sections will remain until we replace the Citabria; note that the $63,843.44 represents the old Citabria investment that we have available for a new plane.
  2. The Cessna upgrade remains on hold. The $23,000 we have spent on the needed equipment remains on our balance sheet (at the bottom) and will remain there until we place the new equipment into service.

Thanks and please don’t hesitate to let me know if there are any questions.
