From The President - By Steve

Dear Members,

The airshow at Spirit was a huge success. I saw many members and family using their access to the hangars to enjoy the show. And speaking of airshows it is hard to believe Oshkosh is just a few weeks away. I know many members are driving up and it looks like Darin and Mike Mahoney will fly up in the Cessna and RV. Thanks to Brian for handling the lottery again.

I am interested to hear about the recent trips in the Arrow. Darin to Martha's Vineyard via the Hudson River and New York City, and Kirk McDonald to Colorado. That trip to Martha's Vineyard may be the longest since I have been in the club.

Thanks to Jason Watt for the great job he did with the semiannual valuations of the aircraft.

Treasurer's Report - by T.J

BILLING STATEMENT

Comments:

  • Thanks for the receipts! Please keep it up.
  • A note on Signature Fuel Bills....Note this is a repeat comment from the last four months - Our credit card was compromised and while obtaining a new one, we had a time where we had no card on file at Signature. As such, for any fuel purchases in Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr, I have provided the member with a fuel credit if they purchased fuel. I've received at least one note from a member that they did not pay for the fuel. Please know that I have provided our new card to Signature and discussed with them and they said they would work out any deficiencies. As of today, that has not happened, so I'm leaving the credits for the member and if the club card does ultimately get charged, then I will reverse the credit in a future month. It is small dollars, but I wanted to advantage the members. June comment, this is the last month for this note, I don't think that Signature is going to bill us.
  • Fuel Prices - Fuel has stabilized, albeit at a higher price than we are used to. The officers anticipate that there is plenty of cash and fund cushion to hold rates steady for the time being. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  • Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

BALANCE SHEET

  • The funds are tracking nicely.
  • Cash is sufficient for the foreseeable future.
  • Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

  • No maintenance actions this month

N20843 Cessna 172M

  • IFR Check - The pitot Static, Altimeter, and transponder/encoder check was done on 6/26/26 and is good for 2 years.

  • Beacon Bulb - The beacon light went out on the Cessna. Larry replaced the bulb and lens with a new Whelen P/N: 5043300 14V Lamp Assembly and P/N: 68-2170504-60 Red/White Lens Assembly.

  • Window Latch - Larry replaced the LH Window Latch with a new latch.

N2242N Piper Arrow IV

  • Oil Change - The oil and filter were changed on June 9.
  • Roll Servo - During the autopilot preflight check for Kirks flight to Colorado, the Roll servo had a hardware fault which disable the autopilot. After the arrow returned to St Louis, we installed an overhauled Mod 1 Servo under warranty and the plane was returned to service on 6/30/26.
  • WOW Switch - The WOW micro switch was reinstalled with a new nut and torque stripe added to prevent movement of the switch body.
