From The President - By Steve

Dear Members,

We had another good month for flying. Some of those flying hours included a 3 plane formation to Mount Vernon for lunch. John Heilmann flew the Arrow to Mt Vernon and then got some good pictures from the Cessna as TJ Smyka, Larry Wehrman and I flew back.

The following week another 2 ship formation that included Brian Williams and his son in the RV and Larry and I in the Arrow went to a fly-in at Perryville. Brian hit the lottery and won some free avgas and food so maybe another trip in the future.

With our club meeting approaching I urge all of you to try and attend. If unable please give your proxy to one of the officers as there is the possibility of one or more votes.

As you know Todd Michal is moving out of state and is selling his share. As a long time member, Todd served as President for six years (September 2005 to Oct 2011) and as a club check pilot. I did 10 hours in the Arrow with Todd and learned a lot about that plane and flying in general. We wish him well!

Safe flying!

Steve

BILLING STATEMENT

BALANCE SHEET

Significant Discussions

  • Overall Cash - This year’s annuals for all three airplanes are completed and all funds are sufficient to meet any foreseeable needs. With no major projects on the horizon, we would anticipate the overall cash amount to grow from here.
  • Share Value - The share value remains stable at approximately $13,500 per share.

   Maintenance - by John

N202CR RV-7A

  • No maintenance Items to report this month

N20843 Cessna 172

  • Oil Change - On May 11th, the oil and filter were changed. Oil Analysis results and the filter inspection show no abnormal metal particles in the oil.
  • Primer Line Repair - While changing the oil, Larry noticed a primer line had broken. The broken primer line and primer nozzles were replaced. With the new primer line and nozzles, the primer system seems to be more efficient so try less priming prior to start than you used to use (2 strokes when cold and 1 or 1/2 strokes when hot).
