From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

The interior work is progressing as fast as can be expected. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. The carpeting, seat cushions, seat belts, and rear, front, and door panels have been received. I went out to Mike's hangar to check out the progress on Saturday. The colors look great. The new spray paint matches the carpeting and seat vinyl perfectly. John, Randy and Marlin were busy working on fitting the rear side panels, repairing some of the engine baffling seals, and completing the new ELT installation (including the installation of the remote panel switch). I'm really pleased with the way it's coming together. Thanks to the member's doing the work, especially John who's doing the seat refurbishment at home!!

Happy Landings!

Treasurer's Report - by Marlin Sipe

The total assessment last month of $2450 covered most of the interior. Except for some minor items that might still be needed, the total interior cost came out to be $2815.94. Of that, $2472.28 went to Executive Maintenance for the major items (seat covers, side panels, carpet, etc.), and the rest was spent locally on hardware, paint, adhesive, shipping, etc.

The new ELT cost $207.66, plus some extra mounting hardware. Actually, that hardware is lumped in with the cost of the interior (in the stack of receipts I got from John).

The Treasury is still looking good. We have $939, which is about $81 more than we had 2 months ago. That's good, considering what we've spent recently.

The price of fuel at JetCorp has come down 10 cents to $2.90. As a result, our hourly rate is dropping $1, back down to $47/hour.

   Maintenance - by John Heilmann

  1. Radio Mic - I received an email that the radio was repaired and shipped back to us on Nov 14th. The email did not specify what was wrong or what the repair costs would be. Will see when we get the invoice in the package.

  2. Engine Baffling - The engine baffling that was folding over was repaired.

  3. Interior Upgrade - The interior work is progressing. We received the final upholstery for the seats on November 14th. The upholstery looks great! The rear seat is now finished and the pilot seat is now inwork. One of the seat fittings on the pilots seat was broken which caused a lack of support on the rear outboard corner of the seat. I had noticed that there was a lot of movement in the seat and this apparantly was the cause. The fitting will be repaired and should correct the problem. The ELT has been installed and the remote ELT remote panel is now located where the High Voltage Light used to be. The High Voltage light was moved to a new location under the ammeter. Randy completed the side panel installation on the pilot and copilot doors. Based on our current status, we are hoping to complete the interior upgrade by November 30th.
  4. Seat Belts - We received the rewebbed seat belts. They match the upholstery perfectly. One of the end fittings was replaced due to excessive pitting.
