From The President - By Steve

Dear Members,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

It was good to see everyone at our Fall meeting. Thanks to Beth for getting us into the Wings of Hope hangar. A great venue that kept the cold weather at bay and she also provided dessert! We held our annual elections with the existing officers unanimously selected for another term. Thanks so much to all the members that have volunteered to serve in so many different ways.

Many thanks to Jason Watt for taking on the job of revaluing the airplanes when Pic left the club. He recently completed his appraisals and the new values will be used for our insurance renewal and reflected in the balance sheet. Speaking of insurance, please get back to Brian Williams with your pilot info as requested.

Congratulations to Kyler Bristow and TJ Smyka on getting their commercial rating!

BILLING STATEMENT

Comments:

  • Thanks for the receipts.
  • Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

BALANCE SHEET

  • The funds are still tracking nicely, and all are positive. The Cessna went through annual and still has a large maintenance fund.
  • Cash is sufficient for the foreseeable future. We currently expect the January 2026 insurance payment to approximate $30,000 and we have plenty of cash to meet this.
  • Thanks to Jason Watt for completing the semi-annual airplane valuation (his first!). Between the three airplanes, we picked up a few thousand dollars of value.
  • Thanks and please let me know of any questions or comments.

   Maintenance - by John

N202CR RV-7A

  • No maintenance Actions this month

N20843 Cessna 172M

  • Annual Inspection - The Cessna annual started on October 31st and was completed on November 6th. In addition to the Inspections, the two main tire and tubes were replaced, a new muffler was installed, a 500 hour inspection was done on the RH mag, and new spark plugs were installed. New plastic parts were ordered to replace the broken plastic parts in the baggage area. We will install them when the weather is warmer as the plastic gets brittle when it is cold.

N2242N Piper Arrow IV

  • Oil Change On 11 November, we changed the oil and filter and checked the oil filter; no metal found. The Oil sample was sent in for analysis and the results were normal.
