From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

The annual has been completed and cost less than the budgeted $400, even with the 3 new tires and tube. Much thanks to Chuck for single-handedly changing all the tires and making arrangements with the mechanic. Chuck and I were the only ones at the oil change. The oil sample was analyzed and came back fine (see analysis enclosed). Chuck and I troubleshot the autopilot and found that the shear pin was broken that connects to the servo in the wing. This is something that had best be repaired by the autopilot shop in Alton. I would like to take the plane over to Alton and leave it to be repaired over the Christmas holiday (I'm off the week between Christmas and New Year's). Does anyone have access to another plane to pick me up (the club would pay for it)? Please give me a call!

The shade hangers look about done and I'm happy to say a majority of the members are in favor of putting the plane under roof. I haven't heard when the airport will let us move in, but I expect to shortly. I have advertised for an eighth member in the "St. Louis Airmail". Hopefully it will advertise it to more pilots.

Happy Landings,

Mike Piccirilli
