From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

I want to express my thanks to Mike Russell for washing the plane during the last month. Thanks alot, it needed it.

The plane needs the winterization plate installed. I took off the plate in the spring and put it in the box that was in the baggage compartment that had the new tire in it. Does anybody know where the winterization plate is now? The left hand tire is getting low. I noticed it tieing the airplane down yesterday. The next time I get out, I will fill it up, but if you get out before me, get Million Air to pump it up for you.

I asked for updates of members Biennial Flight Reviews and medical dates last month. Some members did not respond. It is important that members keep these requirments current and provide me the information. If an accident occurred, with a member being out of date, the insurance would be void and all the members would suffer financial hardships. The following members currencies are out of date in my records:

  • Ganahl: Medical May 94, BFR Apr 94
  • M. Russell: BFR Apr 94
  • Vogt: Medical Sep 94
  • E. Russell: BFR May 94 (Emerson is only flying with a CFI who has a valid medical and BFR, as he works to regain his BFR approval. This is allowable with our insurance).

Happy Landings,

Mike Piccirilli
