From The President - By Steve
Dear Members,
The annual on the Cessna is underway so we should have all the club airplanes available as we move into Fall. I really look forward to the change in seasons and am contemplating a trip to Gastons to take in the colors. If you have any interest in flying into a scenic grass strip this should be at the top of your list!
Regarding our upcoming meeting I have one proxy at the moment so please let me or Damian know if you can’t make it.
Steve

BILLING STATEMENT
Comments:
- Thanks for the receipts.
- Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
BALANCE SHEET
- The funds are still tracking nicely and are all positive.
- Cash is sufficient for the foreseeable future. We currently expect the January 2026 insurance payment to approximate $30,000 and given our current run-rates, we should have no problem meeting this.
- Thanks and please let me know of any questions or comments.

- No maintenance Actions this month

- Oil Change - On October 23rd, the oil and filter were changed. The filter was inspected and no metal was found. The oil sample was sent in for analysis
- Stuck Valve - On October 24th, the engine had signs of a stuck valve with roughness and cylinder No. 2 EGTs slow to go up. We decided to check it for a stuck valve. The valve was not that hard to move compared to other stuck valves we've had but we cleaned the valve guide and valve stem and put it back together. It is hard to tell the difference sometimes between roughness caused by a fouled plug and roughness caused by a stuck valve. Thanks to Larry and Mark Weber for working this as I was in Wichita for an avionics training session.

- Pilot Seat On 10 October, Larry investigated why the seat seemed to be harder to move forward and aft on the seat tracks. He found that a couple roll pins had backed out of the seat height adjustment linkage which caused the seat to lean and rub against the seat tracks. He inserted and safetied new roll pins and now the seat rolls much smoother with no lean.
