From The President - By Steve
Dear Members,
Mark your calendar for our Fall meeting now scheduled for October 20. As we have done in the past
we will start with lunch at 11:30 and move right into the meeting. Please let Damian know if you can't make it
so he can plan for lunch. This meeting will have a vote for election of officers so if you are
not attending please give your proxy to someone.
It is nice to finally have all three planes flying. I flew the Arrow for the first time in almost a
year and it was great to get back into that airplane. I already have a quick golf trip scheduled
for later in October! Thanks to John, Larry, and everyone else that pitched in to make this happen.
Our local EAA chapter had a Young Eagles event coordinated by Brian Williams with two of our club
planes participating. John, Larry, and Beth, along with other pilots gave almost 40 youngsters the thrill
of flying in a small plane. I urge all members to consider joining the local EAA chapter.

BILLING STATEMENT
Comments:
- Thanks everyone for sending in the receipts and please ensure that you throughly review your data. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
- It's good to see the Arrow flying again, please get out there and fly it; it really helps our cash flows.
BALANCE SHEET
- Cash - As we've repeatedly discussed for the past several months, we expect a low level of cash until the three flying airplanes build a surplus. I will discuss thoroughly at the October 20 meeting.
- Aircraft - With the Arrow back in service, all three aircraft are now valued at our estimation of market. We will revalue them in November so we are ready for our January insurance update.
- Work in Progress - The officers are still working through the final negotiations with the insurance company, but the end is near. The final settlement will result in more cash, although the exact amount is yet to be determined. Nonetheless, the spending is complete and the only amount remaining is labor to be paid to John & Larry which was covered by the insurance. This payment is expected to be made in credits.
- Member Equity - Now that the Arrow is properly baked into the valuation, the value of a share has risen above $20,000.
Maintenance - by John
N202CR RV-7A
- Oil Change On October 4th, the oil and filter were changed with 7 qts Phillips X/C 20W50 oil added and new Tempest A48110-2 Filter installed. The lower Cylinder 2 & 4 and upper Cylinder 1 & 3 spark plugs were removed and Tempest UREM37BY spark plugs gapped to .028-.032 were installed. These spark plugs are used by the Surefly Electroinic ignition and increasing the spark plug gap will result in a much hotter spark for easier starting. The RH magneto was reset to 25 deg BTDC.
N20843 Cessna 172M
- Annual Inspection - With no flights scheduled the week of October 7th, we decided to down the aircraft and do the annual inspection. There are no upgrades planned so the annual inspection should be finished within the week.
N2242N Piper Arrow IV
- Arrow Repair and Annual Inspection - The Wing repair, overhauled engine installation and annual inspection were completed on September 10th. After 7 hours of engine break-in flights, the Arrow was returned to service on September 17th.
