From The President - By Mike Piccirilli Dear Members, The tally on the vote on whether to sue the Spirit Asst. Administrator was 5 against and 2 for. I passed this info on to Charlie last week. Charlie is still working hard in our behalf. I just received some new paperwork Charlie has prepared arguing our position. It 's still possible something positive will result. I moved the plane to a temporary position next to the old tower, and behind Blayney's. It is right next to the runway. The airplane will be in this spot until some time after the Sept 25-27 County Fair and Airshow is over. The airport will be closed Friday 9/25, 19:30-20:30; Saturday 9/26, 13:00-16:30; and Sunday 9/27, 13:00-16:30. If anyone wants to fly the plane any of these days they will need to use the tenant parking pass I have been given. Give me a call to come past my house to pick lt up. After the fair is over, the plane will be kept in spot #32 on the north satellite ramp (same ramp that it was on). The new spot is dictated as the first row of tiedowns will be used for transient aircraft in the future. Spot #32 is facing the same way as our old spot but one more row towards the runway. The county is hoping to have the shade hangers erected by November 1 of this year. So far, there are only 2 members wanting to move the plane to a shade hanger before an 8th member joins. I have not received any negative feedback from any member as to acqulrlng the 8th member. I believe all members would like to have the plane in a shade hanger if we get an 8th member to help pay for it. The ADF was repaired. I have yet to receive the bill. The annual is coming up in October. Chuck is scheduling the annual to be done with Bill Rlchards, an A&P who operates out of a hanger at Spirit. This is the same mechanic that inspected the plane for Leonard, prior to his joining the club. I assume that we will be assisting in this year's annual as we have been. Happy Landings, Mike Piccirilli
