From The President - By Mike Piccirilli

Dear Members,

Many thanks to Randy for keeping up with the various maintenance items. I'm sure all the club members appreciate the effort he puts in on our plane.

I did get the paperwork from the insurance company listing each club member on the policy. Jeff, I will get a copy in the mail to you.

I haven't been able to find the time to go flying myself but plan on doing some over the holidays. I see from the schedule that Jeff has been doing some flying and Todd has the plane scheduled over Thanksgiving. Hope the rest of you can get some hours in by the end of the year!

Happy Landings, Pic

From The Treasurer - From Marlin Sipe

We had a huge fuel bill this month, because once again it covered almost 2 months of charges. Even after that, we had a good increase in the Adjusted Treasury, and we are well ahead of what was want saved for the Annual so far. On the other hand, flying will probably slack off over the winter, and we won't be increasing as much.

In December, I will be leaving town on vacation, and I'm not sure when I will make the deposit and put together the flight bill. It would be good to get the checks to me a few days before the 15th, if you can. Thanks..

Maintenance Corner - From Randy Skyles

I looked at the aircraft on Nov 7 and serviced the tires, lubed the starter and inspected other areas. I checked the aircraft door locks and the cargo lock. I would like to know if anyone is still having problems with the keys? Marlin was having trouble with the passengers seat being hard to move and lock in position, are we still having troubles? I did some checking on the radio-heating problem and found the windshield anti-fog duct had come off and was blowing hot air over the radio. This could be part of our problem and causing the radio's to become hot to the touch. I installed the duct on the outlet and I'm going to buy a new duct and install it when I get a chance. The one we have has been installed since 1975 and it looks it. I talked to Mueller Avionics about the cooling fan installation. He said he was real busy with other work and would stop by the aircraft to see how hard it would be to install. C&D said they would install the cooling fan but never installed one before and could not give us an estimate on how long it would take. I flew the aircraft and found the new radio squelch kept coming on so I also adjusted the squelch. Randy
